Gods Adventure

We all have adventures that we need to experience in our lives. The best adventure I have ever had and am having is my adventure with God. I flew from Michigan to California a few days ago to visit Bethel Christian School to determine whether or not I liked it. God lead me to this school and when I made the arrangements to fly out here to CA I had no plans at all on how I was going to travel around the city. Kind of just relied on God and had faith. When I jumped on the plane from San Fransisco to Redding CA I met a gentleman named Doug who to was going to Bethel to check it out with a friend. He offered me a ride but I didnt want to impose. After insisting multiple times I said "Well if you are going to the church then I will catch a ride." God had prearrangements that I had no idea about but trusted. Once I arrived at the church God blew me away. His presence filled the room with love and amazement.

After meeting a bunch of individuals from the school Jimmie Jack, Kim, Chimi, and Jason we all hung out where they were staying. We talked about God and hung out for about an hour. After that they drove me back to my hotel. When I woke up I got some continental breakfast and then walked to Bethel Christian School which was about 2 miles. Absolutely amazing view. Once I crested the top of this hill the picture at the right is what it looked like. Looks much different when you take the time to walk then it does to just drive in. On the right at the top of the hill is called a Prayer Chapel. The big grey building at the top of the hill is Bethel Church. And below that is a soccer field, baseball diamond and bleachers built into the hill.

As I walked up that hill someone at the prayer chapel waived to me. Im not shy and I wanted to find out more information about the school so I went up to talk to her. Her name was Leona and the guy she was sitting next to was her boyfriend Andrew. These people are on fire for God and majorly impacting the world. God has set in there hearts to go to Africa and build churches, and schools for children. Andrew recently saved 60 children from the rebel armies. Leona attended the school a year or two back and she said it was most definitely what she needed to grow in her faith with God. They both will be kept in my prayers for they are truly amazing people. To the left is a picture of the prayer chapel up close. AWESOME BUILDING!

Last night after attending the School from 12:45-5 I got invited by the 1st year students revival group to there end of the year party. The whole time I really felt guilty about jumping into these awesome God loving peoples lives. They practically begged me and made me feel welcome the whole time. I quickly got the name nickname "Airport Guy" since thats where God found me. After I met just about everyone in that revival group I felt closer to them then I do most of my friends back home. All of them are sooo neat as they all have an awesome story of what God is doing in there lives, and just truly unbelievable incidents that have happened. This school is one of a kind and well worth attending. If you want to find God this is one place you are sure to find him!

After the revival party they drove me back to the church and it was about 7pm here and 10pm EST. So I went to the 7pm church service. As Jimmie Jack dropped me off he said "Hey Josh check out the Treasure Hunt tonight at 8pm after worship. So I went to worship and at 8pm walked into a back room where they were doing a "Treasure Hunt."

Which is where you prophecie over individuals lives in the city and then go and find them. WOW it was amazing the boldness and the protection these God fearing people had. We went out after praying and listening to God and one of the leaders I was with aka Jake went up to these biker looking guys with tattoos all over and were talking about racing someone for pink slips.

I walked up there with them and these people feared Jake. Jake wasnt a real big guy, but these guys were HUGE they could have crushed us all. I stood back ready to run but Jake walked right up to them. He said we were sent here to speak to you is there anything in your life we can pray for you for? After a few no's and them saying nah were alright we said okay and walked away. When we reached a grocery store where this lady was on our list we prayed for her arthritis and it went away and she was happy, then we prayed for her children, and safe travels because she asked us to. She was so happy she gave Jakes wife $20 and told us all to get some coffee or some ice cream. We told her that we were just doing it for God but Jake took it because he didnt want to offend the lady.

What a truly amazing adventure! Today I applied for Bethel Christian School so if any of you enjoyed this and want to contribute I ask that you please pray that Gods Will will be done in all of our lives, and that wherever we go it is because God is sending us.

Gods Message

I have been debating on whether or not I needed to share this. God is telling me that this message needs to go out. This dream was about two-three days ago.

Tonight I was reading the bible and a deep sleep fell on me.
As I drifted further and further into the supernatural spiritual realm it became life.
These dreams are so clear I live them out thinking that it's reality.
In this dream of mine I was preparing for a battle as an elite soldier.

I didn't know what I was preparing for, but I was preparing for something huge.
I had trained by myself this whole time. But was not alone as I underwent rigorous training.

God was most definitely with me as sweat and blood turned to preparedness.
Then I got in an SUV military vehicle as ordered and they started driving.
During the whole training everyonce in a while they spoke about this mountain.
A dark cold place with nothing in it, except snow and darkness.
They had trained me in all forms of outdoor and environmental survival for about a week.

As we kept driving I felt very confident that wherever I was going to go survive I could handle.
Then the driver grinned and said “I hope you're ready.” As we drove closer you could see the rough shape of a mountain surrounded by darkness. The other passenger laughed and said “we're here”.

I got all my gear out but just a day before they gave me a syringe, swabs, and some bandages.
They said in the area we were going was a terrible disease that if infected this medicine would cure me. I wondered why I would need that medicine if nobody, and nothing was alive in this place. Me and my huge black superior officer treaded off into the mountain. Now I knew at some point he was probably going to leave me and give me instructions.

We walked along super old railroads tracks for what felt like forever. I was not winded or even feeling it though since I was so in shape and prepared. We jumped on an electric self controlled train that must have just been made. As we pulled up to what I thought was by far the darkest part of our whole journey my superior officer grabs my arm injects me with a needle disappears, and I am left alone with my pack on my own box car. He must have jumped onto the main car and derailed the one we were both on.

Everything was unleashed as I struggled for the medicine in my pack. I felt a presence around me that surrounded me and cut off all thoughts of hope or survival. I couldn't get to my medicine in time as the disease spread too quickly. As I injected the needle I felt a little relieved but it was still most definitely in me. Out of knowhere came these people who looked possessed by the devil himself. They were the evilest creepiest, and abnormal creatures. I knew that all they wanted was to kill me as I was a foreigner and not like them at all. So I ran as fast as I could out of there but I couldnt run fast enough. They could jump ten to fifteen feet in the air and were super fast. They were everywhere and thoughts raced through my head this was a setup, I just need to get out of this place, etc.

Running through a forest nearby for shelter and possibly safety they surrounded me. I couldn't run any further they were in front of me and closing in behind me. One jumped at my head with claws spread, and gnashing of teeth but I ducked. Then as it came at me again I jumped a good twelve feet in the air onto a small hill.

The next scene I somehow managed to evade them and get to a field. Just up ahead was a huge church. As I was walking I figured out that these creatures were humans that were diseased by some sort of power unheard of to normal society. I knew they would probably be in the church but my hope lied on God. I entered the church and immediately got to the highest point which was about four stories high.

Unfortunately there was just the stairway an empty hallway and a room in the upper left corner. I entered the room and began taking inventory of all that I had and where I needed to go to get out. The beings came again and I locked all the doors to the room because they were already in the building.

They waited for me slamming against the door and making horrible noises. After a while I thought I heard them leave. Then it came to me I can save them somehow as they are lost to the world. I am there only hope. I dont want to leave this place until I figure out a way to save these people.

My heart was racing faster and faster as I pushed the door open. Nothing was around at all. It was back to dead silence. Then it sounded like church service going on. As I went to the first floor where the sanctuary was I saw normal people. They were having choire practice and it got super bright.

I stayed and watched for a few minutes then climbed the stairs back to my hidden room. As I climbed up something followed me. I raced down a rope near the room to the first floor again. Then went into a room close by. Then it came to me there were some people who were safe or normal and others who hid in the darkness.

My cousin Desmond, and his wife were in the room. Another lady I did not know was crying. She
must have had a lost family member to the darkness. Then I woke up to my realm of “normality”.

As I started wondering what happened and why I had such a crazy dream I thought. God is equipping me with the necessary tools to save lives. He has put me on a journey to fight that darkness. God wants me to lead people to the truth.

The disease that consumed the lives of these individuals was sin. Sinners without Jesus are lost to this world. Even as my superior officer released the sins I had in my life... God was in me so I could not be transformed into this creature of darkness. We are all sinners but we must try to sin LESS, and live MORE for God or our views will be skewed to society and not reality. Even as saved christians we battle darkness and evil daily. Keep up the fight and know that you are not alone in the battle and God will work in your life if you ask him to.

He has sent me as his messenger to deliver this message to you.

Treasure Hunters

I have been thinking long and hard about what topic to use next for this article. Looking into the hearts of individuals and trying to develop a closer relationship with God this topic was revealed.

Treasure Hunters

As individuals we look on life with a whole new meaning and understanding as we search for the truth. Sometimes we wonder what we are looking for, yet are still constantly searching. My search for the Treasure and truth of life began a long time ago as a very small boy. I would think about where I came from and what really happened before time ever even mattered. I would usually fall into a trance of thought never ending until my own thoughts became nothing more than a dark black sheet of emptiness. This would frighten me and I would often try to forget about it all.

Through the years it kept coming back to me. For some reason I knew that there was more out there and that I could find the answer to life. I attended many different churches with many different individuals but it never caught my attention or gave me a real answer. When I was twelve years old I went to a Christian water balloon fight and found the answer I was looking for. Jesus Christ himself showed up in my life the answer to years of an unsolved problem. I felt a peace a sense of relief over my life and everything in it. But back then I didnt know hardly anything about truth. I was a treasure hunter searching for truth of an unsolved problem of life.

Ever since that day it has been a battle for me, and a struggle to grow in faith. I feel that everyone goes through or has gone through what I have been through in one way or another. That christianity is individual on a level with God. That only you and God can determine where you are in your faith. I think that everyone in the battle between this realm and the realm of the spiritual are on different levels with God. By that I simply mean that God personalizes his message to you on an individual level.

As treasure hunters not only for the truth about life, but also the answers to everything in this world we meet God. Most often we turn to the bible to begin our search, maybe we try once a week at church to dig up the answers, or maybe we pray that the answers will come to us. Sometimes we get discouraged, and dont know why we arent finding what we are looking for. What it comes down to is when you take the Word (Bible) and don't have the Spirit with the word you simply have ink on a page. The way this was described to me a short while back was if we were to get all the bibles in the world and burn them all Gods Message would still exist. Now I am not saying go and burn your bible as it is a great tool to get closer to God and understand how much love he has for us. I am simply saying that God isn't kept in a small box.

That his presence is everywhere even when we lose our faith. Even when we give up God still has hope. When we quit digging for those answers in life, God shows up and helps us keep digging. We are archeologists digging up those treasures and distributing them to the world!

Why religion is bad!

Caught in religion or just caught up in the thought of religion? As stated from many christian leaders religion is robotic lifestyle. We are all similar going to church every Sunday or many Sundays to sing because everyones singing, to pray because everyones praying, and to give (10%) of your paycheck to the church. Well I don't think God intended it to be this way. Does God want us doing something we don't enjoy? Does God want us to be bored to death and not live and love completely for him?

The answer is NO, God wants us to have fun, live, love, and be ourselves! He wants us to WANT him. God wants us to sing at the top of our lungs because we want to. See God gave us all choices and giving your life completly to God couldnt be a better choice. The one thing is that everyone has to experience that for themselves. I could write a blog everyday about how everyone should try living for God but what it all comes down to is that its your choice and I am not going to pour that pressure onto anyone EVER!

My question for you is this: why do we fall into the typical word... religion? I believe we fall into that category because we don't feel anything. Tons of Christians I have personally spoken with believe that the Bible is simply a metaphor for living a "good" lifestyle. That none of the things in the Bible actually took place. The crazy thing about it is that most of those individuals are struggling, and some are still attending a church hungry for God but not being filled. Why is this, why can't someone go to church and be completely filled with God when they want it? How come this is happening all over the United States and World?

I am not knocking the Church at all. All I am suggesting is that more churches be open to all God has to offer, and allow God to speak in there church, allow God to fill each and every individual to the top with his Love and Happiness. Thats all I am asking which I don't believe is too much to ask. Tell your congregation or entire church that if they don't want to be there to go home because God wants individuals who wants him. Tell them not to sing unless they truly want to sing for God. Now I don't mean humiliate anyone, I just mean be honest. One of the best sermons I was ever told about was a sermon based on praying and questioning each and every message every Sunday. All that is doing is confirming what God was saying through the Pastor/Preacher/Priest/etc.

Religion is simply a set of beliefs and practices. Sure as Christians we believe and practice certain things but should we think of something so casual and meaningless? Even when sarcastic individuals call me a "Christian" I correct them by saying wrong... You can call me Gods Warrior thank you(with a giant smile on my face). Another cool name would be Children of God. How awesome is it to hear that you are a Warrior for God? To know each day that when you wake up you have the opportunity to give someone a little peice of God, and to know that God is with you everyday that you wake up.

Do you live a life of religion, or do you live a life knowing everyday that God is with you? If you don't feel Gods presence but are searching for it then you have come to the right place. Read your bible, pray to experience Gods love, and commit your life to God. Also anyone can contact me anytime at joshua.vanhouten@gmail.com. I will gladly answer any questions and pray for you.

Spiritual Realm of Faith in Christianity

As said before in my Believing is Seeing NOT Seeing is Believing post... believing is seeing. At what point do people start calling you "Jesus Freak, Holy Roller, or Christian Loser?" When I was younger and began to get closer to God these names came up. I was offended by them and almost wanted to stray away from faith because of it. The funny thing about it is that is exactly where I am now trying to go. Of course I am not trying my hardest for people to call me these name (laughs). One thing I am trying to do is get closer to God.

See the closer I get to God the more God starts showing me the things I need in life. He starts showing and telling me where it is to go. The crazy thing about all of this, is that God only gives you what he knows you can handle. I have seen things that most people would be terrified to see, I have heard things and felt evil that I would never wish anyone to feel. With all the bad there is good as well, and God has showed up in my life much more times.

But the thing about it all, is that once you begin living and seeing the Spiritual Realm... People begin to worry about you. They think that you are a freak and dont actually understand it all. I have learned in religion to judge myself before I begin to judge others. And ten times out of ten I will find something wrong with myself and need to keep my mouth shut =) . Its truly sad though if you look around at the majority of churches and none of them are doing signs and miracles by God. Why is it that growing up I have never ever ever seen one person healed in church? It says in the bible not to pray for the sick but to go out and HEAL the sick.

Is that even actually possible? I mean can someone actually cure another person of deadly cancer, or a broken bone, or a "psychological dissorder"? Can someone actually do that? OF COURSE THEY CAN if they are led by God. See I wish someone would have told me this when I was a kid. I wish that someone would have told me that I was going to see prophecies and be able to change lives. These are all things that I wish. I look back on my life and realize that God was telling me and showing me all of this stuff all along. I just wasnt listening to what he had to say. I was too focused on society and all the things that you are "supposed to do."

One thing is for certain though if you want to live an easy lifestyle and have everything handed to you Christianity isnt the way to go. Living a life strictly for God takes a warrior, a strong hearted individual. To stand up and say I stand with God and I know that you are wrong about me being a "Freak" because God tells me how awesome I am everyday! On the other hand if you want to live the happiest most purposeful life you could ever live then try giving it up to God.

God opens doors to a whole new Spiritual Realm. Its a whole new world of excitement and amazement where you can never be bored, lonely, depressed, or down. Financial freedom ha ha ha beyond financial freedom. Beyond anything you could ever imagine! Speaking of financial freedom and money I would like to say something on that topic. See whenever I had a big idea to make money or some business I was going to start someone in my family always had a smart remark like: "HA if you figure out how to become rich let me know, or that wont ever work you dont see me filthy rich and I would have been willing to do something like that". Well now I truly have the answer to that question. If you want to own something worth more than all the money in the world, something that is worth everything I have and could ever have. Then go out and buy a bible and read it.

A bible you can understand, comprehend, and use in your everyday life is worth EVERYTHING! It teaches you the principals to living a happy life and finding things you would have never ever seen. It is also the means to getting in touch with God the creator of ALL. Any questions you have can be answered all in this one book. See the thing about this book too is that it has everything from a supernatural lifestyle, to the end of the world, to how you should treat your neighbor.

All of this about spiritual realm, and supernatural lifestyle has really caught my attention. See where I lost my societal life and picked up this new one was in TACF or Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. At that church was an all weekend event that my close friends and I all attended. I highly suggest going to something similar or to another event TACF is holding. If you cant make it to something like that then I suggest going to like a Family of Christ, or Bethel Church. Something along the lines of tons of people speaking to God from there hearts.

Well anyway I want to hear your feedback on this topic so let me know. What do you think about living a Supernatural Lifestyle? Do you live one? Have you seen God work through anyone to heal someone?

New Start

What makes us achieve pure happiness? What is it that drives us to wake up every single day? If you could wake up happy everyday would you? These and many other questions I have been asking myself for many years. What I think it all boils down to is, that we must find something that balances the bad or frustrating things in our lives with something positive. One of the greatest things someone can have in life is a PURPOSE!

Most people feel that what they are doing isn't important or doesn't contribute to the bigger picture when in actuality everyone is making a huge impact on the world daily. No matter what you do or who you are. You could be a construction worker, banker, consultant, chef, waitress, entrepreneur, or even a stay at home mom. See people criticize christians for being missionaries, or pastors. The thing is they are warriors for God. They are risking there lives to help save others. They are going out of the way just to help a few individuals.

The sad thing about missionaries is that they don't all have the funding to radically change and impact whether kids in other countries get to eat or not. See it is a proven fact that if everyone in america that went to church gave ONLY ten percent of what they earn, then it would amount to over one billion dollars. Having MORE than enough to feed every starving kid, cure every disease, or shelter the homeless. Let me ask you something... what is wrong with that picture?

Is it our right to ridicule and criticize families that are risking all that they have to make a difference when we ourselves aren't even doing are part? The way I see it is God allows you to have the money, and materialistic objects you have. Nothing you own is yours at all. If you weren't brought into this world then you wouldn't own anything. So how hard is it to only give ten percent of your income to a better cause?

What I was getting at with all of this is happiness isn't achieved through finances. If you want something you have to give something. Giving a small amount to God every Sunday you go to church will reward you tenfold as far as money goes. I have seen this and done this first hand. Another object that was hard for me to overcome was being satisfied with what I have. See as humans we are always wanting more. If we have mansions and ferrari's we still want more. For instance look at Bill Gates. He was going to buy Hawaii. Now what exactly would you need an intire state for? Now obviously you can't buy a state. I am not knocking Bill Gates at all, he is a very generous man and gives a lot of money to organizations and helps millions of individuals.

What does buy happiness is faith. Faith in your loved ones, faith in your career, faith in college, faith in whatever you do. Faith is merely having confidence that everything will work out for you no matter what you do and as long as you try to be happy. If you can find something you love to do and can do it for the rest of your life... I suggest you work real hard to try and make that your career.

The last thing is to start over. If it is hard for you to move on or you aren't always happy then start over. It is really hard to get anywhere in life without God. You may feel the need to talk to someone about it or you may just want to continue on trying it your way. Just remember that when things don't work out God is always going to be around for you.

My life has started over and everyday I am content. I finally found what it is I need in life, and what I need to do to contribute and give back. I will be attending the Ministry program at Bethel Church in Redding California. It is quite a bit of money but God has told me he will provide. If any of you would like to help me fund this I would greatly appreciate it and have placed a donation button in the top right corner of my blog. I truly would appreciate all your help. The individuals that do choose to donate I would appreciate it if you would email me at joshua.vanhouten@gmail.com as I have a gift for all of you.

Thank you all and God Bless!

Ultimate Superhero

Ever wonder what it would be like to be a superhero? Just imagine all of the powers, and all the amazing things superhero's did. They saved lives, protected the world and devoted there time to making a bigger difference. Could you imagine devoting your life to a greater purpose such as saving the world? Theres a superhero that doesn't get as much credit as he deserves. This is the Ultimate Superhero! His name is Jesus Christ. He could walk on water, heal the sick, make the blind see, the deaf hear, cast demons out of people, and even bring people back to life. What if I told you that the great powers Jesus had didn't die at the cross? What if I told you that things unimaginable are happening around you that you may not even realize? Things like supernatural healing, lives being completely changed, true prophets roaming the earth today telling what will happen in different individuals lives. You would either agree with me and say yeah I know that happens, or think I am crazy and that nothing like that ever happens.

According to the bible we have the ability to give the blind sight, make the deaf hear, and heal any injuries God wants healed in ourselves and others. Now before I go on I would like to give you some evidence because I too didn't think God would allow me to do anything that AWESOME! Acts 1:4-8 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom of Israel?" He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 2:4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

When you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior all of your sins are washed away as long as you ask forgiveness. When the Holy Spirit comes on you, you have the ability to radically change the world! God gives you the ability to heal, save, and prophecy over anyones life. This is something truly amazing and powerful. It is much easier to keep the communication with God open and full when you try to live by his rules, and give him everything you have and everything you are. God speaks to your heart, mind, body, and soul. With the clutter of society it is sometimes hard to hear Gods voice or Gods message in our lives. We sometimes tune him out and thinks hes not there when really all along he has been there for us.

So let me ask you something what if you had the ability to be a superhero for God, would you do it? God gave us choices its your call on what you choose.

God Bless!

What if I told you, that you were going to die soon?

From a faithful aspect to a connection with God do you believe that through faith we can have such a strong connection between someone else that we feel their pain and emotions? Sometimes life throws curves at us and even though we feel alone we aren't. God is always with us but more than that others are with us as well. Just recently I have been going through a very challenging time of confusion, frustration, and lost hope. All along I felt like I could overcome all of it, but I knew it would be a challenge. The power of prayer is more powerful than I can even know. I saw God work through me to help someone else when in actuality I was the one needing his guidance.

A few individuals prayed for me and that made a world of difference but I didn't realize it until after everything had happened. I didn't realize the effectiveness of prayer. Why our are lives being clustered into confusion, and busyness that we can't take fifteen minutes out of our day to pray for someone else? Why is it that most individuals be it Christians, or anyone in the United States choose to not regularly read the bible? Why is it that we plan for our future? "Well we plan for our future to have a life for ourselves and provide for our families." My next question then is if your family is so important to you would you save there lives if you could? If you answered yes to that then read on, if you answered no then there is still hope. Yes means that you care and you want to save someones temporary life, but what if you care more than just protecting them for a few days or years? What if you had the opportunity to give someone ETERNAL LIFE?

To get Eternal life doesn't mean you have to act like a prep, go to church every Sunday, and pray breakfast lunch and dinner. NO it simply means doing whats right, believing in God, and accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior. In fact the more you learn about christianity, the more you learn that God actually wants us to be Warriors or Beauties. If you think of an angel you may think of something with wings that is beautiful and comes to save your life. When in actuality when angels were seen first hand from the bible, whoever saw one was terrified. They feared because these angels were HUGE, they were sent by God to fight battles, and were WARRIORS. The angels would have to tell them not to fear, and that God sends them to tell that person a message.

If thats not enough evidence then look at Jesus. He flipped tables and raised his voice! He didn't walk in and say now guys come on please don't use the church money in a bad way. Hey you probably shouldn't do that. NOPE he went and flipped tables. Now you may or may not know this but Jesus was an absolutely compassionate person, loving, caring, and sacrificing everything for everyone.

What if someone came up to you today and told you that you had 3 months to live? Would you come back to this post and ask about eternal life? Maybe or maybe you would go to a church out of curiosity. Maybe you already know what is going to happen to you when you leave this temporary life... maybe not. Well let me just tell you one thing if you take 15-30 minutes out of your day to devote to God, your life will truly be different. Maybe you want to spend the time praying, maybe you want to spend the time reading your bible, maybe you just want to sit and collect your thoughts about God. You have 1440 minutes in a day I don't think a few of those are going to kill you to be spent on a greater purpose.

I bet an average American watches 4 hours of television a day. With most of the time being commercials, but most Americans wont save there own life. It just astonishes me the way that society feels is normal, and just. I am not forcing you to do anything I am just letting you know that you have a choice, and this choice is BIG so think hard on your decision.

What if I told you, that you were going to do soon?

On Track?

Life throws all kinds of twists and turns into our lives but, God is always there for us. I have been living my life years ahead of myself trying to plan for later, or the future. Well we need to live today we need to live NOW! We should be having a positive impact on the world like today is our last... it may be. Lately just to show you a glimpse into my life. I received three speeding tickets, failed a test, and managed to lose track of my bank account. After feeling the weight of the world and the devil hit me like a ton of bricks, I didn't know what to do except panic.

God was still right there with me. Saying "Josh it's going to be alright just do things one step at a time." Then I realized that all of this stuff that is happening to me is because lately I have been super content with my life. I am happy knowing where I am going and practically nothing could get my hopes down. So last night I devised a plan, just get your priorities straight and just focus on those for now. Once thats complete move on to the next.

Its really that simple and we don't even realize it. When we get upset we tend to lose track of ourselves and most importantly GOD! Through it all we must have a clear head and try to focus. Whether its a relationship problem, financial problem, or just a plain bad day. Keep your head high and realize that you aren't the only one going through it. God is also right there with you every step of the way.

So my question for you is are you on track with God? Do you have all your priorities straight in your life? I know I didn't for the longest time. But its alright you can change that.

Purpose of Life

Today Christians realize that we are in the end times but why should we continue living our lives? Why should we continue to work as hard as we do if its all just going to end? The answer is that we're living in a world that needs us. We have the power to make a huge difference and have a major impact on tons of peoples lives. Sometimes our dreams are crushed, sometimes we wonder what our purpose is in life. I can't answer that but I do know that everyone has a purpose in life, and if you want to know what it is then you will find it.

Growing up I was always told I can't change the world in a day. My response as it was then it is now "No, I can't change the world in a day... but I can sure try!" We need to be thinking that every breath is our last and try to make a positive impact on the world.

Do something today for someone else. Maybe go out of your way a little to show someone you care about them. It could be anything, even something as simple as opening the door for someone, or showing kindness. The little things in life have a major impact. We don't know whats going on in other peoples lives so we need to be considerate of EVERYONE!

Have a blessed Sunday!

Believing is Seeing

There's an old saying that says "Seeing is Believing" but I believe that to be all wrong. I believe that Believing is Seeing. See in my life I have encountered so many miracles, and have seen unbelievable things, but it wasn't until I wanted to see them that these sights or miracles became visible. Amazing things happen in our lives each and every single day, that we take for granted or don't even realize.

As I thought about this idea all day yesterday I realized that some people don't want to believe in God. They feel that their life is fine without God, or maybe they just feel that Christianity is nothing more than trying to be a good person. Well in reality if you have a strong belief towards something then you begin to open up the world around it. You learn, grow, and become more in tune with all aspects of your beliefs.

I mean look at it this way if Seeing was Believing in the Christian faith then why doesn't everyone believe? Everyone encounters God in there lives everyday even if they don't believe. Everyone has seen some kind of miracle or awesome works of God, yet people choose to make up excuses or unproven scientific answers as to why that miracle happened. I feel that God spoke to me last night as I was praying and pondering on this subject.

I asked him why everyone didn't believe in him because I know everyone has seen some way in which God has worked in there lives or the lives of someone they love? Instantly he said "they have to believe it for themselves." As I thought about that a little longer that is exactly the missing piece to the puzzle. I can tell everyone in my life about how awesome God is and all the amazing things he has done for me in hopes that they will want that for themselves, but what it all boils down to is I can't make anyone believe in him and I will never force anyone to believe in him.

It is just very sad to me to see people miss out on the greatest gift of all. Eternal Life!
In your life is seeing believing, or is believing seeing?

How to accomplish your dreams!

I am not going to tell you some magical unknown way on how to accomplish your dreams. But I will tell you how anyone can accomplish anything they want. A while back as a kid I always heard the saying "You can accomplish anything you put your mind to." I never used to really think that saying was actually true. When you think about it from another stand point it opens your eyes to a whole new reality of what you really can accomplish.

Have you ever seen the Pursuit of Happiness with Will Smith? Well in that movie Will Smith a poor father living on the streets tells his son something truly inspirational. "Don't ever let someone tell you that you can't do something, not even me. They will tell you that you can't do it because they know that they can't do it." Wow how powerful is that. We always turn to people for answers maybe friends, family, co-workers, or maybe just anyone we trust. They might not always tell you what you want to hear. I have learned that if there is something in the world I want, that I need to go out and get it. You can do this by simply working really hard towards your dreams.

This is put really well in an article I read on another persons blog. Blog title The Pilgrimgram: A Telegram from a Pilgram - Are Christians Lazy?. I really advise you to read that article he has posted as it truly does open our eyes to why we don't accomplish as much as we would like to. I have a very important exam coming up and I was tossing and turning on how I can learn everything pass the exam, and still keep a strong and close relationship with God. I would like to read my bible more, view more biblical blogs, pray more for the people I interact with in my day to day life, and just keep that connection strong. Its really simple though, all I need to do is work really hard at both. Well I hope that this article gave you some useful information. Check out the article I told you about above and as long as you put a lot of hard work into your dreams there is no telling what you can accomplish!

Darkness and Light

If you had the chance to experience Hell do you think you would still act, and be the same that you are today or would you try to change for the better? Well last night I watched a movie called Event Horizon. It was about a ship that tested a method of teleporting. Seven years later this ship activates its beacon and a search and rescue team are sent to see if there are any survivors, and if any crew is still alive. Throughout the movie it shows signs of Hell and how bad it really can be. It shows how sick and twisted chaos and pain can feel.

The good part about all of this is that through all of the darkness there only needs to be a tiny light to shine through it all! After watching this movie I picked up my bible and let the pages open for themselves. I landed on Jeremiah 23:5,6 "The days are coming," declares the Lord, "when I will raise up David a righteous Branch, and do what is just and right in the land. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteousness." There is corruption in our world as we see it today, but we can't allow that to get to us. We must remember that through everything The Lord Our Righteousness will always pull through and be here for us.

This movie and these verses from the bible have inspired me to want to keep my head up and try to be a much better person. I hope that this articled did the same for you as well.

Gateway to the Soul

Ever wonder if someone is lying to you or not? Do you ever wonder why the eyes have such a major impact on our emotions and thoughts? Think about it, if someone glares at you then you know they are probably mad about something. If they smile so do there eyes. There is one emotion that is interesting and untouched by this and that is anger in the form of fear. A lot of times individuals are angry because they fear something they can't control. Maybe a relationship, an upset friend, or anything that an individual may not have going for them.

You have to look closely but when people are upset look straight into there eyes, and you will see a sense of vulnerability. The other day I was at my local grocery store and a bunch of college kids were messing around, acting all cool, and making fun of people. I just purchased my groceries and they were right behind me in the self checkout. One of the kids wasn't paying attention and almost ran into me. As I moved out of his way I looked straight into his eyes... completely unintentionally. The kid had this crazy angry grin on his face but you could see fear in his eyes. The eyes never lie and some people have said that the eyes are the gateway to your soul. How do you feel about this? Do you think the eyes are the gateway to your soul? Can you tell what someone is thinking or feeling by looking into their eyes?

Heart is Empty, Eyes are Full

What does it mean to have an empty heart? I think that it means life without feeling of belongingness. I think that it means questions without answers. A sense of loneliness that nobody is there for you. Well if you feel or have ever felt empty I want to show you that you are NEVER alone. John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” What this means is “Jesus brings God's presence, protection, and guidance.” He will always be with you, protect you, and guide you. How awesome is that?

I also wanted to share another passage of the bible to you. Genesis 24:16, 17 “The girl was very beautiful, a virgin; no man had ever lain with her. She went down to the spring filled her jar and came up again. The servant hurried to meet her and said, Please give me a little water from your jar.” When dealing with an empty heart we need to realize both physical beauty and internal beauty. In the above passage “Rebekah had physical beauty but the servant was looking for a sign of inner beauty. Appearance is important to us, and we spend time and money improving it. But how much effort do we put into developing our inner beauty?”

Genesis 35:26 “And all the women who were willing and had the skill spun goat hair.” I think this has a major impact on our sense of belongingness. God has given you gifts and is concerned with the quality and beauty of the work you do. “Your work should reflect the creative abilities God has given you.” Go out there and use the gifts God has given you. Be a leader, join a community of people with similar gifts, or just be content!

When your heart is empty and your eyes are full remember that God will protect, and guide you through it all while he is right there with you. God made you therefore you are a beautiful person inside and out. Last but not least each and every single one of you has God given gifts and talents. Use them and you will be amazed at the positive change it will have on your life!

God is a DJ!

Cool Video I ran across today while checking out newest in todays culture.

Really shows how creative people can really be. Even though it seems very simple the idea behind the video is very unique in the fact that non of those people realized what was going on around them. As you watched the video I hope it opened your eyes that God is always looking out for you. This video shows just that in a really neat way.

Do you feel God is interacting in your life?

Tell me what you think, and post a comment!

The Bigger Picture

Everyday we wake up and go on with our lives. With all that we do though there is a Bigger Picture. I once believed that faith was just a "backup plan." You know in case there really was a Hell and you didn't want to go. Well then you go to church, try to behave, and live your life as a careful person. Through the years I have learned that it is much different then that.

That faith is laying your life down every single day knowing that no matter what situation you are in God will help you get through it. That christians aren't wimpy individuals that are so called "perfect." In fact God wants us as christians to be WARRIORS! He wants us to be strong in our faith and all that we do.

So let me ask you...Would you lay your life, and everything you own down for what you believe? That is the bigger picture. See we as humans only see what revolves around a small portion of our lives. Our neighbors, friends, family, co-workers, or old class mates. What about the guy at the gas station on your way to work? What about the lady or guy that held the door for you today? What about the kid bagging your groceries? Yeah yeah so you are thinking "Josh what about them?"

Have you ever stopped to think about whats going on in there lives? Have you ever wondered what they are dealing with? The only reason I ask this is because I used to never care. I didn't even think twice about the people that I interacted with throughout the day. My life was brought into a whole new perspective when I started caring a little bit more about everyone else then I did about myself.

You begin to see the good in people, you begin to see a glisten in there eye when you have changed there lives just by doing a small act of kindness. It truly changes who you are and really opens your eye to the "Bigger Picture" idea. The little things in life can make your day go from absolutely terrible to truly amazing in no time flat Guaranteed!

Open Eyes... Clear View

At what point in reality do we actually see and realize everything that is going on around us? Is it when we are kids and don't have a care in the world? Maybe its that moment in our lives when we find the person we were meant to spend the rest of our lives with. I think sometimes we wait until everything is going wrong in our lives to be thankful for what we've had all along. The last week has been somewhat rough, and through it all I am grateful for what I have. Unfortunately it took a lot of stuff to go wrong before I realized it, but at least I am on the right track. Emotional drama with close friends, quit my job that was basically my second family, flat tire, moving out of my apartment, etc. All of this was done in somewhat a split second decision. I acted more on emotions than thought and didn't even care. Only to wake up and realize that if you don't have a form of income coming in then you can't pay your normal expenses. I have faith that it will all work out. I am blessed with my new career as a small business insurance consultant, I am looking forward to passing my state exam next week, and my aunt and uncle have blessed me with a place to stay for the time being. With all of that being said what does it truly mean to have a clear view of our lives? Is it the things we do to get by and pay bills? Are we living in a life of hopes and dreams to maybe someday be in a tropical paradise with not a care in the world? What motivates us to get up each and everyday to do something we probably don't like to do? Mainly Money, Family, and the worst one of all Debt. These three things are probably the reason we are all where we are now and not where we'd like to be. Being that I don't have a wife and kids it is very easy for me to go from one job to the next, or one major in college to the next. Sure my family thinks I am crazy and I know deep down they are saying "Josh just get a degree, something, ANYTHING." Two years in college and I have lots of classes under my belt but no degree. The reason for this is because I don't want to be confined to one thing that I may not like doing. Believe it or not this really got to me a while back and I sat down. With all my thoughts and all my ideas. I came up with questions on what I want to do with my life, what I like doing for fun, and what my hobbies were. I put the things that I love to do into a career and then started chasing those for careers. Now I feel like I am in the right place helping people and wanting to better myself. I am going to go back to college and get a degree to better myself in my new career. I am finally where I have always wanted to be. Even though people may not think its the best decision for me, it doesn't really matter. You need to look at what YOU love to do, and what you want out of life. Sure ask your husband, wife, or significant other if they think its a good idea and if they will support you. When it all boils down though do it for you and do it for your family. If you are happy then there happiness will follow. It may be something as little as picking up and old hobby again, or just doing something you love to do but have never had the chance to. MAKE TIME! Most of all open your eyes to your surroundings. Don't wait until what you have is gone, to realize how awesome it was. Realize how awesome it IS and always keep your positive attitude.

The worlds a beautiful place, keep a clear view!

Definition of Love!

Sorry I havent posted lately I wanted to give everyone a few days to think primarlily about what love is, who you need to love, and the positive impact it has on you! Well just a few days ago on Valentines Day I saw what love is first hand. There was a pretty bad car accident that I witnessed and everyone in the vacinity jumped out of there vehicles immediately to help both individuals that they didnt even know. It was just truly amazing! When I got to the car that was hit both drivers were out of there vehicles and perfectly fine. There were about six people who jumped into action and showed hope in the world. A lady and her daughter, a firefighter, a guy in an SUV, and a few other people helping the two drivers. The guy in the SUV called OnStar immediately, the lady and her daughter checked to see if everyone was alright, the firefighter turned on his lights, blocked traffic, and started immediately helping the situation, and everyone was working together. Now that is truly LOVE! Strangers never met before were all trying to do everything they possibly could to help out. Everyone could have easily just called 911 and drove off but instead took the time out of there lives to care. So I dedicate this post to all the people who don't get recognized for being awesome individuals. Also since I wrote the last post I have been trying to practice what I preach more and more. The other day I let a guy go in front of me at the checkout line in meijers. We started talking and the guy was the nicest person ever. It just had a major impact on my life to realize that everyone has a good side, and it is worth my time and everything to show my good side. That small little conversation made the rest of my day go wonderfully. Whenever something wasnt going for me I would think back to how happy he was and how I can impact someones life today. Which made me immediately smile and press on. I can't stress enough how important attitude in life is. If you have a positive attitude and allow God to work in your life then you WILL see results. I try to take a few minutes out of my life every morning before I get ready for my day, and every night before I go to bed to pray. You're all probably thinking well he has a wonderful "perfect" life and its easy for him to say. So I will take a few minutes to share a few recent weeks of my life. I have been living in an apartment for six months now with a buddy of mine that I used to work with. Well he ended up moving out and it was looking like I was going to have to pay more for rent than usual. I have a part time job and basically that means all my money earned would go into my rent, gas, and food. That same week I get recognized for being a great sales rep for at&t but unfortunately not a wonderful employee in there eyes. The company wanted to show that they discipline so they gave me a write up and didnt really explain why. On top of that there was a female that I have liked for a while and I was going to just leave it all behind and go see her for V-Day. Well that ended up falling through for other reasons. It just wasnt looking very good but I trusted that if I kept my head held high and allowed God to work in my life he would. Sure enough it is all changing around. At the office of my apartment complex I spoke to them about the situation and they found someone to take over my lease. I was also fortunate enough to get an interview with an amazing company where I would be doing sales. Oh and the female that I like is still super amazing and is helping me grow closer to God. But in the end the one thing that you must always remember is God will never ever fail you. He will ALWAYS love you. So if next week is the same as this week I am still willing to commit every single thing I have to God. Just take a few minutes to realize that Love is what you make of it. Love is in you, love is YOU, love is everything good, and most importantly GOD IS LOVE!

Hope everyone had a happy V-day and remember that even though Feb 14th is over doesnt mean you should quit loving.

What is love?

Tomorrow is V-day so I hope you remembered to get your significant other something to show your LOVE and appreciation :). If not I highly recommend you run to the store tonight and get something sentimental. For those of you who don't have significant others... I would just have to recommend to be patient. See the thing is if you chase love you will never catch it, but if you let love happen... IT WILL! I decided to put the weight of my romance in the hands of God. See the story goes something like this. Average kid grows up chasing girls his whole life searching for someone that can make each and every moment with them memorable. Tries, tries, tries and is caught up in the blindness of believing he has finally found her. Well life goes on and after a while of not being together they both realize they weren't right for each other at all. She continues on dating and trying, while he does the complete opposite. He realizes that in order to begin a strong long lasting relationship he must first be happy with himself. See fellas you can't look for the answer in the beauty. Meaning you can't find your answers to who you are, or what you are simply by asking your wife or your girlfriend. Although they love you for who you are and what you are they don't get what us men need. If we can't be happy with ourselves, our jobs, our lives then we can't expect our loved ones to tell us we're happy. Now granted I am not in a relationship with anyone. One thing is for sure though I have realized and learned a lot through others relationships. All through High School, College, and to this day I am asked constantly for dating advice. See the way I see it is before the world stops and begins revolving around you, theres one thing you need to realize. The more you give, the more you receive. If you do something good for someone, the favor will be returned. Ha ha did you think I was really going to tell you how the world would just revolve around you? Well I just did, and its just that simple. Everything will go your way if you just give everything away. You have got to be thinking I'm crazy right about now. First of all I don't mean go and give everything you own away. What I mean is give whatever you can. For example my Aunt: sweetest lady ever she is always giving everything away and even if she doesn't realize it she WILL get everything back tenfold. If someone does something for her she goes COMPLETELY out of her way to do something for them. In return she has tons of friends and people that would be willing to do anything for her. Her husband who is the same way he would do anything to make you laugh and make sure you are always happy. Just absolutely great people and if you would like to return one of the many favors they have given please stop by her store in Howell, Michigan. Its called Stitch In Time. I have many people in my family that if all they had was one dollar and someone around them needed it. They would give that dollar in a heart beat knowing that somehow they would survive. Its just those little gestures like chasing someone down in the parking lot and giving them a pie because they did something nice for you or coming to visit your kid who is five hours away just to show you love him, or just having a positive attitude and willing to give back to the world. The question again is what is love? What do you think love is? Do you think its a relationship between two people? Do you think its something that can alter and change your life? Do you think its the little things in life you do for someone you don't even know? Could love be giving your life for someone you don't know? I believe that love is many things and that there is one love that was given we must never forget. I speak of God in almost every single post and thats because I believe that without him we wouldn't have love. God showed more love then any of us can ever even fathom. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." Now that is love! Jesus died on the cross for US! We didn't even exist when this happened, and he still did this for us. He did this for EVERYONE! Could you imagine giving your life for everyone? Before he died he said " Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34) That is absolutely amazing! Do you ever get mad when you're driving and someone cuts you off? Do you ever get mad at anyone for anything? Well imagine someone doing the worst possible thing and you turning around and giving your life and asking God the creator of all to forgive them. WOW! That is my definition of true love and if you didn't like this post then TOO BAD haha. Everybody have a good V-day and try and do something amazing for that significant other.

What if you died this second?

The title may scare you but that is not its intent. Every day we go on with our lives and try to ignore how were living and what were living for. Last night I wasn't so ready to die but I did. As I went to the mountains with a bunch of friends I tried jumping onto the icy part of a lake to cross it. I was talking to my friend Nick and in mid air I felt like I was going to make it. At this point my life was fine, I have lived and tried to live for God. There is no doubt that I could definitely do a lot more for him. Anyway last thing I remember is hitting the cold water looking up and seeing my friends standing around the gap I fell through. I immediately tried swimming to the surface but couldn't make it, because I was sinking so fast. It felt like something was pulling me down. After a few seconds the light faded and I was in complete darkness in this icy water. Everything I loved and everything in my life had left me. I knew that I was not going to make it and out of nowhere I had a restful easy feeling about it all. I prayed a little prayer in my head and it was something like this "God take me as I am all yours, nothing in me wants anything but to love you." Then the next thing was loss of air, movement, and all my internal organs quit. I felt a lot of pressure and then I thought to myself whats next? As my life of earthly happiness passed me by... I woke up. I woke up gasping for air and wanting to see God. He showed up in more ways then I can even explain. I believe he gave me this dream to show me a lot of things. To show me that my life of happiness is really nothing compared to what it could be if I just served him. That happiness/contentment isn't something that is merely achieved but instead something that is applied. Also I learned that we need to cherish and live in each moment we have on this earth. The small things in my life that I believe to be important mean nothing when I die. So what I am going to do is try my absolute hardest to live for all the right reasons. Its as simple as being observant of your surroundings. Taking a second out of your day to help someone you see is in need, maybe telling your wife/husband or significant other that you love them, maybe its just smiling and helping someone in your family out, maybe its allowing somebody at meijers to go in front of you at the check out line. It could even be a small prayer for someone around you. Its the little things in life that matter so much we don't even realize it or live by it. WWJD or What would Jesus Do? is a good thing but the real question is knowing what jesus would do what are you GOING to do? What if you died this second? Would you be happy with the contribution you made to the world? Think on this and trust that God has all the answers. Nothing is too big or too small for him. He loves each and everyone of us.

Are you ready?

The question is are you ready? You are probably thinking right now am I ready for what? Well are you ready to be amazed at what is in store for you? Are you ready for what the world has to offer? Living life as a successful person doesn't mean being the owner of a Fortune 500 company. It just means able to live within your means and truly enjoy what life has to offer. Everyone always says well if I had more money, if I just did this, if I just got this or that. 95% of people who say that and end up getting what they want end up wanting more. Why is that? Why is it that so many people believe they need materialistic objects to make them happy? One of my friends a while back told me that money bought happiness. Haha I asked him why he wasnt happy then? Response: I don't have any money. I said again why arent you happy it sounds like you spent it all :). If it buys happiness why is it that famous people are always begging for help and constantly attending rehab centers? Why is it that kids in other countries who barely have enough food to survive are always smiling and having a good time knowing they will eat for a few weeks longer? Simple money doesnt buy happiness it is just an object that many people use to let control there lives. There is a price that was already paid in full for our happiness and that price is Jesus being crucified for our sins. Happiness is simple its the mindset in which you live your life. If you wake up in the morning and your day starts off bad think about the price that was already paid. Do you think you suffer more than Jesus suffered for us? NO! Do you think that all the days of your life can amount to one second of his pain? NO! Dont feel sorry for yourself because nobody is going to want to be around you. Cheer up and you will be amazed at what God will do for you. Are you ready? I bring you back to that question because I truly care. Are you ready to be happy? Are you ready for God to work in your life and the life of the ones you love? If the answer to this question is yes then please please please pray. Pray for the ones who are lost to this concept. Pray for the ones who dont know where to go. Pray for everyone who is hurting and everyone who needs happiness.

BE HAPPY!

Life Changing!

I thought I was in control of my life... I thought I had everything planned and that if I just got this or I just did that I would be happy. I was far from happiness and I didn't even know it. Trying to listen to family, friends, whoever just to get somewhere in life. But some things you have to figure out for yourself. I wrote a blog earlier today about success... That blog was about reaching success getting to the point where you succeed like it had an end. Do what you love and live in the moment of doing that thing you love. If I ruin every single thing in my life from this point forward I hope that I at least do this one thing right.... and thats to follow my dreams! I might not be the happiest if I ever reach my dreams but what makes me happiest will be the journey :). Tonight I watched a movie and first of all I must recommend it to all who read this article I am writing. Its called the "Peaceful Warrior" and it is by far the best movie I have ever watched. It changed my life because of all the insight it had and all the knowledge that I gained. I now have an understanding of where I am and what my journey is ahead of me.

Success!

I have always wondered what I would do for a living and where I might be. My whole life I have planned and tried to control everything that I do. Choosing your career and what you will do for the rest of your life is a HUGE deal! How can one truly only pick one career and be happy with that decision? I started by asking myself questions such as: what do I enjoy doing in life?, If I could get paid to do something I loved what would it be?, what must I do to make a career out of these ideas?, and so on. This was the start to something amazing! I ended up going to Baker College for EKG Technician because well everyone knows that the medical field makes good money, and it sounded like a pretty fun job. When I arrived at orientation after all paperwork was signed I was advised that there no longer was an EKG program and that I would have to change majors. So I decided to go into medical assisting 2 year associates program. After living the college life and not being able to pass the beautiful college girl down the hall up when she asked if I could help her with her homework until 2am. I realized I needed to change so that I could get a good education and have a balanced life. Also in college I was completely broke I had maybe $400 in my bank account. Anyway a long story shortER haha, I ended up getting a job at at&t full time. WOW the highest paying job I have ever made! At the age of 19 I was pretty happy. I still work for at&t but now I have my own company Spark Boards Inc. A snowboarding, wakeboarding, and skateboarding company. I am now happy with my decisions and trying to get the company off the ground. If anyone would like to help me out they can Donate money on the Spark Blog on the right hand side. I finally took my own advice and am trying to make a career out of something I love Snowboarding, wakeboarding, and skateboarding. Moral of the story do what makes you happy and if you make a career out of it you really cant go wrong.
